WIRING ASSEMBLER

NWUAV, located in McMinnville Oregon, builds small, specialized engines for specific unmanned systems applications. Due to an increase in workload we are currently looking for a Wiring Assembler to join our Electrical Assembly team.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all wiring related services are performed safely, professionally, and on time.
  • The ability to read and interpret wiring drawings and technical instructions.
  • Ability to accurately document procedures.
  • Preferred Certifications & Training: IPC.WHMA-620-A .
  • To start and complete sub-assembly work to ensure schedule timelines are met.
  • To assist other Production Technicians as required with the timely completion of sub-assembly.

Requirements:

  • Background in wire harness assembly.
  • Experience with a variety of hand tools.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Experience with wiring, connecting, soldering, and assembly of circuit boards and other electronic equipment.
  • Superior problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately fill out log sheets and record testing information.
  • Must be able to crouch, bend, reach, lift 30 lbs, and work with hand tools.
  • Commitment to working safely.
  • Adherence to AS9100 standards.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check.

MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Northwest UAV (NWUAV) is a growing company in McMinnville Oregon providing engineering services to the unmanned systems industry. Our engineering team is working on a wide variety of development projects requiring a proficient SolidWorks designer to perform drafting and product design support.

Qualified applicants will have an extensive knowledge of SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, as well as a working knowledge of standard MS Office software and Adobe PDF. The designer will be responsible for the management and maintenance of product documentation and needs to have experience creating and understanding drawings of complex electrical and mechanical parts and assemblies. A basic working knowledge of materials and design differences used for machining, 3D printing, sheet metal, and weldments is necessary. This position also requires a working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 drawing standards, familiarity with ASME Y14.100 drawing standards, attention to detail, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain complex product definition documentation - drawings and bills of materials.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to AS 9100 and ANSI standards.
  • Accurately complete tolerance and geometric studies of parts and assemblies.
  • Coordinate with the engineering and other company groups to ensure and improve product quality.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Related tasks as required.

  • Large assembly modeling, configurations & display states.

DELIVERY DRIVER/INVENTORY CLERK

Northwest UAV is currently seeking individuals with delivery experience to fill our Delivery Driver/Inventory Clerk opening.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Prepare parts for safe shipment and assist in shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Maintain the security of NWUAV parts, components and products during transportation.
  • Ensure that items are delivered on time and to the correct location.
  • Communicate with vendors or customers providing correct PO, packing slip, or work order during the transition of products.

Requirements Include:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Motor Vehicle record in good standing.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the department.
  • Ability to lift 10-100 lbs.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate to various businesses in the Oregon area.
  • Customer service skills.
