PRODUCTION ASSEMBLER | Two Openings

Are you mechanically inclined? Do you have a good understanding of small engines? If so, NWUAV would like to talk to you about an opening at our shop for a Production Assembler. NWUAV is a small company in McMinnville Oregon that builds small, specialized engines for specific applications. Qualified applicants will be experienced working with various machine systems and have knowledge assembling, disassembling, installing and removing machine components. Computer skills and an understanding of Microsoft Office are required. Our Production Assemblers must be able to understand and utilize all written materials available and be capable of precise documentation of work performed. Teamwork and customer service are important to producing a quality product in this fast paced, exciting environment.

MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Northwest UAV (NWUAV) is a growing company in McMinnville Oregon providing engineering services to the unmanned systems industry. Our engineering team is working on a wide variety of development projects requiring a proficient SolidWorks designer to perform drafting and product design support.

Qualified applicants will have an extensive knowledge of SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, as well as a working knowledge of standard MS Office software and Adobe PDF. The designer will be responsible for the management and maintenance of product documentation and needs to have experience creating and understanding drawings of complex electrical and mechanical parts and assemblies. A basic working knowledge of materials and design differences used for machining, 3D printing, sheet metal, and weldments is necessary. This position also requires a working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 drawing standards, familiarity with ASME Y14.100 drawing standards, attention to detail, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain complex product definition documentation - drawings and bills of materials.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to AS 9100 and ANSI standards.
  • Accurately complete tolerance and geometric studies of parts and assemblies.
  • Coordinate with the engineering and other company groups to ensure and improve product quality.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • SolidWorks PDM Administration.
  • Related tasks as required.

SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Northwest UAV is currently looking to fill our newly created Social Media Coordinator position to manage “All Things Social” for our family of companies. From Social Media postings and maintenance of our company LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook platforms to managing ITAR visitor protocol, onsite visitor meetings, and daily reception.

This position will require publishing current, accurate, and engaging content about our products and services through a variety of media platforms and e-newsletters. The ability to proofread text and content will be crucial. The Social Media Coordinator will also help contribute to the development of comprehensive brand strategies, Google AdWords and Analytics, best practices, and coordination of monitoring traffic, trending topics, and engagement as well as maintaining a social media editorial calendar.

In addition, the Social Media Coordinator will provide general administrative support for the company. Responsibilities will include reception, phones, visitor protocol maintenance, meeting organization and execution and general administrative functions.

Skills and Qualifications required for this position will include:
