WIRING ASSEMBLER

NWUAV builds small, specialized engines for specific applications. Due to an increase in workload we are currently looking for a Wiring Assembler to join our Electrical Assembly team. If you have experience working with small electrical components, and knowledge of assembly requirements please reply with your resume.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all wiring related services are performed safely, professionally, and on time.
  • The ability to read and interpret wiring drawings and technical instructions.
  • Ability to accurately document procedures.
  • Preferred Certifications and Training: IPC.WHMA-620-A.
  • Ability to start and complete subassembly work to ensure scheduled timelines are met.
  • To assist other Production Technicians as required with the timely completion of subassemblies.

Requirements Include:

  • Background in wire harness assembly.
  • Experience with a variety of hand tools.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Experience with wiring, connecting, soldering, and assembly of circuit boards and other electronic equipment.
  • Superior problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately fill out log sheets and record testing information.
  • Must be able to crouch, bend, reach, lift 30 lbs, and work with hand tools.
  • Commitment to working safely.
  • Adherence to AS9100 standards.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check

PROPULSION TEST CELL TECHNICIAN

Northwest UAV is currently seeking individuals with testing experience to fill our full-time temporary Propulsion Test Cell Technician opening. Depending on workloads this position could become permanent in the near term. The work requires a strong mechanical aptitude with supreme attention to detail. Successful candidates will be tasked with the testing and tuning of small, high performance engines used to power unmanned aircraft

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all test stand related services are performed safely, professionally and on schedule.
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment and data acquisition systems.
  • Monitor engine performance ensuring proper RPM, cylinder head temperature, fuel mixture, etc. are maintained.
  • Accurately document tuning and testing and complete all required logs.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions, determining root causes and documenting all corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to complete and document testing.
  • Completion of all tasks in accordance with AS9100.
  • Perform a variety of related duties in support of engine testing program.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, “hands-on” ability, and use of hand tools.
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand test procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to accurately fill out log sheets and record testing information.
  • Must be able to crouch, bend, reach, lift 30 lbs, and work with hand tools.
  • Experience with automated data acquisition, e.g. NI Labview, is a plus.
  • Must have a sound working knowledge of MS Office software tools, specifically Excel and Word.
  • The test facility will routinely operate 24 hours per day, 5-7 days per week. Extended work days and shift work may be necessary.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check.
  • Associates degree or 3+ years of related testing experience preferred. Experience with internal combustion engines a plus.
