Delivery Driver

Description: Northwest UAV builds small, specialized engines for specific unmanned systems applications. Assist the Inventory Control Manager in maintaining efficient and successful shop operations by following assigned directives and supporting daily activities. Work closely with the manager to ensure instructions are carried out accurately and in a timely manner. Provide support to shop technicians on the floor as needed to help maintain workflow and productivity. Handle the delivery of completed engines and spare parts to clients, including coordinating and completing special delivery requests as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all directives given by the Inventory Control Manager in a safe and timely manner, ensuring quality control is met within the scope of company requirements.
• Prepare parts for safe shipment and assist in shipping and receiving documentation.
• Maintain the security of NWUAV parts, components and products during transportation.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the department.
• Ensure that items are delivered on time and to the correct location.
• Communicate with vendors or customers, providing the correct PO, packing slip, or work order during the transition of products.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with the printed procedures.
• Complete all necessary documentation related to the current work/sales orders and forward it to the Inventory Control Manager for approval before filing.
• Maintain the company vehicles in optimal condition, keeping track of any required services.
• Other duties as assigned by the lead or manager.

Skills, Experience, and Aptitude:

• One year of practical experience in a related field, along with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Physical capability to lift between 10 and 100 pounds is required.
• Must possess basic computer skills and demonstrate proficiency in understanding and applying written materials related to assigned tasks.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels within the company, as well as with customers and vendors is required.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Safely lift and carry heavy objects with the help of another person if necessary.
• Ability to work well independently and following strict adherence to deadlines.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout the day alternating sitting and standing as necessary.
• Perform repetitive movement such as pushing, pulling, bending, some twisting and stooping.
• Perform fine hand manipulation including handling small and large objects.
• Ability to communicate clearly and be positive, polite, and cooperative with co-workers, managers, customers and vendors.
